If you want to show image within a text, it is actually very straightforward in Adobe Illustrator.

1. Place image in your document
This is straightforward. Just drop image from your folder to this window.
2. Type Text and Resize It
Select Type tool and type the text your want. Resize it to your favorable size and choose the font. You can hold alt+shift while resizing it to keep the text proportion.
3. Make Sure Type Is On Top of Image in Layer
This step is very important. Make sure that the Type text is on top of the image. You can check it on the Layers panel. Drag the Type of Image to re-order them in the same Layer.
4. Select both and click Make Clipping Mask in Properties
Once you’re sure that the order in correct, click ‘Make Clipping Mask’ in Properties panel.
And voila, you get your image in text.
