Sony has finally announced PlayStation 5 on September 16. It comes with two different flavor PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. $499.99 for PlayStation 5 and $399.99 for PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. Not way too expensive as I expected.
They are to be released on November 12 in US, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. The rest of the world will only get them the week after that.
According to Sony, the PlayStation 5 is approximately 390mm (15.4 inches) tall, 260mm (10.24 inches) deep and 104mm (4.09 inches) wide. This seems pretty big for my desk. But a standing device is probably okay for me. The console will weigh about 4.5kg for PlayStation 5 and about 3.9kg for Digital Edition. Pretty heavy compared to PlayStation 4 Slim 2.1kg. I hope there will be Slim edition later. Wikipedia has detailed the specifications.

Games announced at the same events include God of War Ragnarok, Final fantasy XVI, Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Legacy, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon’s Souls. I am excited.
